Creating Local Jobs in Southern Haiti
Peace Winds is partnering with several community groups in Haiti's Southern Department, the Sud, to provide members with resources and training in areas such as sewing, fishing, and cashew and peanut production. Many groups like these have been impacted by natural disasters such as Hurricane Matthew in 2015 and the major earthquake in 2021. With your support, Peace Winds is helping community members gain the skills they need to work in important sectors and support themselves and their families.
Hurricane Matthew Relief: Help Haiti Rebuild
Hurricane Matthew, a Category 4 storm and the largest in the region since 1966, struck the nation of Haiti on October 4, causing immense damage. This project will help the Haitian people rebuild their homes and lives while increasing their resilience to future disasters.
A new canteen for 60 children after the earthquake
Cittareale is a village of four hundred inhabitants severely damaged by the earthquake that hit central Italy in 2016. The project involves the construction of a new building that will house a canteen with kitchen. The canteen will be used by sixty pupils of the nursery and primary school, as well as teachers, workers and elderly dependents of Cittareale.
Improving rural schools in Nepal
Since the earthquake in 2015 we have been supporting rural schools through a range of interventions. Initially we were rebuilding classrooms and providing taps and toilets. This expanded to include educational bursaries, teacher training, libraries and anti-trafficking workshops. It is a little known fact that children who attend school regularly are far less likely to be trafficked. Help us to stamp out the sale and exploitation of children in Nepal through our school improvement programme.
Relief rebuilding to 25 communities in Nepal

Women and children are hard- hit in Nepal earthquake. Tewa is supporting community based women's organisations working in 14 severely affected earthquake districts to rebuild communities and lives, enabling grantees to use their local skills,knowledge in supporting pregnant, postnatal, physically challenged, indigenous,marginalized and most vulnerable communities. Peace and philanthropy centres as a pilot initiative,with psycho social counselling, barefoot volunteers/grantees will be mobilized.
A Clean Solar Alternative to Kerosene Lamps, Nepal
Due to the mountainous terrain of the country, it is very difficult to build national electricity grid in Nepal, because of which large parts of the country are still without electricity access, and hence, people still need to use kerosene lamps. This project aims to provide solar powered lamps as a sustainable substitute.
School Environment Improvement Program - Nepal
ECCA initiated School Environment Improvement Program in the year 2000. Experience has shown that enrollment of students increases and is maintained when facilities (toilets, water, greenery) are improved. Training teachers is also required to effectively manage the classrooms, develop positive relationship with children and community, and facilitate curriculum that leads to better knowledge of sustainable living. A common vision for the development of school is also required.
Provide food for 100 elderly people in Nepal
This project has been created by Community Development Center Kathmandu Nepal (CDC Nepal) to support those elderly living at different Elderly people homes around Kathmandu valley. Those elderly have been suffering from hunger. They do not good clothes to wear in winter and suitable clothes for summer season. They do not have a good bed with proper bed clothes for sleeping. Since they have lack of medical treatment, they have been suffering from different kinds of diseases.
Better WASH for Healthy Nepal
The quality of water supply in Nepal is always questionable due to lack of proper treatment system, pollution at source, no use of disinfection and no proper maintenance of water distribution system. Sanitation-related diseases account for 72% of total ailments and diarrhea continues to be one of the leading causes of childhood deaths in Nepal. COVID-19 outbreak has also created unprecedented health crisis. There is also indoor air pollution due to the use of traditional firewood cookstove.
Ama Ghar Displaced Children Fund
Many children were orphaned or displaced by disastrous 2015 earthquakes in Nepal. Ama Foundation worked with anti-trafficking organizations and the Nepal government to help find these children a safe home. Since 2015, we have taken 30 new children into our home, which can house 75 children - but we currently only have funding for the 46 children who currently live there. Your contribution helps us to take in more children and give them a loving home, an education and a future.
"Support-A-Child" Help Child Go To School & Study
In Nepal, there are still many parents who do not send their children to school because of financial hardship. School enrollment and attendance need to be increased through care, support and building up child competency. Students need to be encouraged through hands-on practical learning, which will make learning interesting. Through an integrated approach with the curriculum, students will be trained to understand and gain deeper insight on various environmental issues affecting our daily life.
Girls: Better after quake
A 9 months mentorship program aimed at unleashing the social leadership of 15 adolescent girls of earthquake affected area of Nepal. This project will reach out to the girls in an individually tailored, empowering them with diverse skills. Nuwakot is a district with one of the highest destruction caused by earthquake in 2015, labor migration among adults and highest rate of girls trafficking. Hence, the need to enhance the leadership of adolescent girls is not only necessary but imperative.
Earthquake and disaster risk reduction in Nepal
The 2015 earthquake in Nepal caused widespread devastation. PHASE aims to address the lack of disaster risk reduction awareness by providing emergency relief, reconstruction, and recovery efforts. The project focuses on rebuilding infrastructure, supporting livelihoods, and equipping local governments with disaster risk reduction plans. The goal is to develop resilient communities with improved infrastructure, services, and disaster preparedness skills, reducing the impact of future disasters.
Bring Light to Isolated Villagers in Nepal
Many villagers in remote Nepal have no electric sources and rely on kerosene lamps and wood fires that pose fire and health hazards. Household solar electric systems are a simple solution. They provide clean electricity and opportunity for women to be bearers of light in their communities. With your help Karuna-Shechen will train and empower women to install 104 solar home lighting systems in isolated villages.
Build educational center for 100 children in Nepal
HimalayanLife is building a regional school in Yangri, one of the hardest hit areas of Nepal in the 2015 earthquake. After substantial assistance in relief and rebuilding, the key to the future of the area is education. Only if good schooling is available to their children, families will reinvest themselves in the region and truly rise from the ashes, rather than migrating abroad and facing the uncertainties of migrant workers in India or the Gulf countries.
Nepal Earthquake Recovery
On Saturday, April 25, a massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Nepal, followed by powerful aftershocks in the coming days. Destruction is widespread throughout the country and it is going to take a long time to recover. The American Himalayan Foundation has created an Earthquake Disaster Recovery Fund to help with long-term rebuilding and recovery as the people of Nepal struggle to put their lives back together in the months - and likely years - to come.

Nearly two years after the 2015 earthquakes hundreds of families are living in dilapidated temporary shelters. Thousands of children are learning in temporary spaces, many of which are open to the harsh Himalayan elements. They do not need to. Let's Help Syrian Refugee Children in Serbia Now!
Over 650,000 refugees from Middle East, mainly from Syria, have entered Serbia over the last 18 months and are still coming in hundreds on daily basis. Amongst them are more than 200,000 children and over 5,000 of them are unaccompanied ones. We are trying to help them stay physically and mentally healthy. Alongside humanitarian aid, we are also trying to develop an online Q&A list for their protection, information and education on how and where they can seek medical, legal and social help.

With protracted displacement, refugees have multiple humanitarian needs; among them are the challenges of managing menstruation with privacy, dignity, and safety.
Provide Education for Vulnerable People in Lebanon
Insan Association provides formal education and professional training, as well as psycho-social support, to marginalized communities in Lebanon. It helps children of refugees and vulnerable Lebanese children who are unable to attend school due to poverty and discrimination, enabling them to experience their childhoods.Insan will assist vulnerable adults in building individual projects to prepare them for the labor market through counseling sessions.

Customs Health Care Society, Pakistan(CHCS) has started a relief fund to help the Syrian Refugees living in Turkey.In 2016, the United Nations (UN) identified 13.5 million Syrians requiring humanitarian assistance, of which more than 6 million are internally displaced within Syria, and over 4.8 million are refugees outside of Syria. In January 2017, UNHCR counted 4,863,684 registered refugees. Turkey is the largest host country of registered refugees with over 2.7 million Syrian refugee

The project aims to support 400 Syrian and Lebanese families residing in the Damour area.Twice a week our local representative "Oui pour la vie" provides them balanced meals from a nutritional point of view.Thanks to this initiative,2000 children and their parents have the chance to enjoy a full meal. Dignity for displaced women and girls in Lebanon
Women and girls displaced by armed conflict suffer most from not having suitable accommodation or access to a bathroom and fresh water. Many live in shared shelters or abandoned buildings without a change of clothing or the means to attend to their hygiene needs. A lack of sanitary pads and clean underwear prevents women and girls from going out and can also cause infections and skin disease. The project will provide clothing and a supply of sanitary pads to restore dignity and well-being.

Empowering 80 people with disabilities in Iraq
Some of the most vulnerable and neglected Syrian refugees and Yezidi IDP's (Internally Displaced People) in Northern Iraq are families who have a family member with a disability. Operation Mercy empowers people with disabilities and their families by providing assistive devices, physical therapy and emotional resilience programs. Currently, Operation Mercy serves 80 clients and their families.

Help Us Keep Rescuing Refugees in Peril at Sea
Fleeing to seek refuge in Europe, thousands of people have died making the short sea crossing from Turkey to Lesvos. Setting off in flimsy rubber boats and wearing fake life jackets, many find themselves heading for rocks or sand banks that can readily capsize or sink a dinghy. Others abandoned by smugglers who drop them at beaches inaccessible via land. Our Search and Rescue crew and emergency response team are on call 24/7, working to prevent any more lives being needlessly lost to The Aegean.

The WeOwnTV Filmmaker Fellowship is a regional film fund and professional development program supporting the production of independent documentaries directed by West African filmmakers living in the region. The program was founded in the wake of the West African Ebola outbreak. The heaviest rains and floods recorded in 120 years have struck the people in Serbia, leaving thousands of children homeless, without food, water, warm and dry clothes. This project will provide immediate relief and development assistance to the children and their families. The assistance will help about 1000 children and youth get the essentials to continue education and rebuild their lives. It will also support their parents to concentrate on repairing the houses and businesses.
Food and Shelter for Philippine Typhoon Survivors
The Philippines leads the world in natural disasters. Every year typhoons deliver destruction and displace thousands of families across the island nation. Asia America Initiative and local partners conduct emergency and long-term relief by providing food and water to thousands of affected families. We apply lessons learned from two decades of relief programs. We provide shelter materials, hygiene supplies, medicines, and ongoing post-trauma services.
