We dream of playing soccer at night! Here along Gaza’s border with Egypt, we cleared the rubble, made a soccer field, and organized a soccer tournament that starts on Sept. 1st and runs through Ramadan. With lights, we could play after the fast is broken. Light will benefit the entire Ybnah refugee camp by creating a safe area where children can play, groups can interact, and families can come out to enjoy the cool night air.

Cleared 12 acres of land on the border with Egypt, removed the rubble adjacent to a refugee camp with 500 households, created a soccer program for 48 youth, and scheduled tournament for Ramadan. |

When communities organize good things for the benefit of their children, families begin to recover from trauma, and values of good citizenship, democracy, participation and community action take hold. |

4 yrs ago, a densely populated neighborhood was turned to mounds of rubble by the Israeli Army. Now we cleared the rubble to make what will someday be known as the best soccer field in all the world!
