• About My Inner Philanthropist (why I give): The timing (winter) & site (Himalayas) of this disaster have wrought unimaginable tragedy & devastation to at least 3 million. The Katrina & Ruth disasters sensitized us to our own poverty, but we can't let them desensitize us to thousands on the verge of freezing to death. A month from now let's be able to give thanks that we each gave what we could to save lives of those we'll never meet just as so many around the world gave to us, the wealthiest of nations, for our own hurricane victims.
