Disaster Recovery
CHF International is providing immediate and urgent relief to victims of the Indonesia earthquakes. This includes transitional shelter for at least 5,000 families and 10 temporary schools.
Italy Earthquake Relief and Recovery Fund
Support relief efforts in the Abruzzo region, where a 6.3 quake killed more than 300 and left 28,000 homeless. This Fund will support efforts of Slow Food Italy and UNICO in providing emergency aid.
Taiwan Typhoon Relief and Assistance Fund
Provide assistance to victims of Typhoon Morakot, which struck Taiwan August 7. At least 123 were killed, hundreds are still unaccounted for, and thousands were displaced
Pakistan Earthquake Medical Relief Clinics
CDRS works in Muzaffarabad and Rawalakot where health facilities were destroyed. We also provide health education events for kids and work with local govt to re-establish a permanent healthcare system
Aid Refugees Fleeing Fighting in Swat Valley
CHI project partner AIL is providing food and dishes to Swat Valley IDPs living in tents in Katachagari and Nasir Bagh camps near Peshawar. AIL is also planning to provide sewing training to women.
Hurricane Medical Relief in Cuba
In partnership with the World Health Organization, we will deliver medical equipment and supplies to Cuban hospitals gravely damaged by Hurricanes Gustav and Ike.
Philippines Flood Disaster Recovery Fund
Massive rains from Tropical Storm Ketsana have caused severe flooding. As of 10/1, the death toll is 277, and hundreds of thousands of residents have lost their homes.
South Pacific Tsunami Disaster Recovery Fund
A tsunami resulting from a magnitude 8.0 earthquake in the South Pacific has destroyed entire villages. As of 10/1, the death toll is 150 in American Samoa, Samoa and Tonga.
Indonesia Earthquake: GlobalGiving Relief Fund
The donations to this fund will be distributed amongst organizations working in the field in Indonesia. These include CHF International, PUSPEM & Water Missions International.
Tsunami Recovery in Four Fishing Villages, India
In order to rebuild the livelihoods of surviving victims and protect children, we provide boats and fishing nets to fishermen; shelter for villagers, especially orphans, and medical/ school supplies.
