Kashmir Earthquake Recovery

cidi logo

The massive earthquake that struck South Asia in October 2005 caused widespread destruction and displacement. Although many survivors have returned home and begun the slow process of rebuilding their communities, the needs are great. Projects on GlobalGiving emphasize long-term recovery, economic development, and "building back better" - creating earthquake-resistant housing and infrastructure.

These projects are promoted through a partnership between GlobalGiving and the Center for International Disaster Information (CIDI). Learn more about CIDI.
