The San Felipe Mountains provide most of the city's water, regulate the climate of the region, harbor a rich nature, and provide the livelihood of several rural communities. However, deforestation, urban growth, and water and soil contamination all threaten the mountains and their historical inhabitants. It is urgent that we protect the watershed and improve the quality of life of its inhabitants.

Why this Project is Important

Potential Long Term Impact

The outcome will be to an attained balance between human needs and nature protection.

Project Message

After 20 years of working with communities, I am convinced that water is the most critical issue for both culture and survival. My project tackles the issue at the basic level - social attitudes.
