Community Based Reintegration Support to Survivors
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesBangladeshi culture sees children as passive and controlled by adults. The understanding and awareness of child rights is almost non-existent. Combined with social mores of hiding experiences of physical/mental abuse and coerced into silence by the abusing adults and their protectors. In order to save the children from the stigma a comprehensive community based reintegration process is required. Beneficiaries: 40 trafficked children, victims of exploitative employment or prostitution. ActivitiesSurvival support (food, shelter, clothing, treatment, education, legal, etc.) to 20 children and establishment of community-based preventive mechanism for fostering the process of sustainable reintegration.
