More Information About this Project
Project Needs and Beneficiaries
The Agros Development Model meets a community where it is. The San Miguel families have been granted land by the government, but still lack the overall holistic development that is characteristic of Agros vision. Thus, initial projects focus on improving agricultural production & environmental practices, including animal husbandry, soil conservation, & crop diversification. Further training focuses on small-business development & budgets. $242 allows 1 family to participate in such projects.
Activities
All families will receive agricultural training (crop diversification, organic methods, business, etc.). 10 families will be trained in animal husbandry to buy & raise sheep; 25 women will be trained in different weaving styles & to increase salaries
