More Information About this Project

Project Needs and Beneficiaries

All women and children residents of Qimaavik have experienced violence in their lives and need an uplifting atmosphere that will promote the process of healing. At present, Qimaavik is furnished primarily with old furniture that looks bad, does not serve to lift a person’s spirit, and is falling apart. This creates extra stress for residents and staff.

Activities

Move out the old furniture and move in the new. Assemble new dressers for the bedrooms, chairs for the dining room and furnishings for the lounge. Set up shelves and organize supplies for the sewing room.
