Mission
To support the development of a sustainable health care system to meet the needs of the Cap-Haitien community with maximum local direction and support.
Programs
Konbit Sante works with the Ministry of Health and within the existing health structure in Cap-Haitien to create sustainable improvements by providing health education, making infrastructure improvements, sending needed supplies and equipment, supporting agents sante (community health workers) who diagnose and treat tuberculosis in an impoverished neighborhood, and by forming supportive relationships between U.S. and Haitian health professionals.

Hugh Tozer, P.E. - Project Manager and Civil Engineer
A former Peace Corps volunteer in Benin, West Africa, Hugh Tozer experienced first hand the difficulties of inadequate water and poor sanitation. He has since spent over 20 years evaluating and designing water and sanitation systems internationally and in the United States. He is conversant in French, which is critical to his work in Haiti.
J. Michael Taylor, MD, MPH - President/Founder, Konbit Sante
Dr. Taylor is an internist and dermatologist with a long-term interest in international health. After graduating from Amherst College and University of Buffalo Medical School, he served in the Peace Corps - Nigeria. He has an MPH from Harvard School of Public Health. He has taught epidemiology at Dartmouth and was chief of community medicine at Maine Medical Center.
