Project Needs and Beneficiaries

80% of the population is living in extreme poverty. Nevertheless, 75% of the students at primary level are in private schools due to a lack of public schools. The socio-political turmoil during last years has seriously ravaged the economy of the poorest country of the Americas. Most parents are facing tremendous financial difficulties and are not able to pay for schooling expenses. The project will provide scholarships to 180 needy children.

Activities

Participating schools are selected according to their merit, calculated by using fixed quantitative criteria set down by specialists within the foundation. All these schools will be periodically inspected.
