More Information About this Project

Project Needs and Beneficiaries

Peace requires mutual respect and understanding. But American students’ knowledge of other nations is rudimentary; American teachers are not prepared to handle international courses; language instruction in the U.S. does not reflect realities. iEARN-USA creates building blocks for global collaboration through K-12 education. The goal of our “Passport to Global Learning” initiative is to bring more U.S. teachers into our international membership.

Activities

iEARN trains educators through tailored workshops and online professional development courses to match their curriculum and classroom context with active management of online international and collaborative student projects.

Resources

Why this Project is Important

Potential Long Term Impact

Students learn more about the world collaborating with kids from other cultures, and also acquire job-related computer literacy and other project skills.

Project Message

The Youth Peace Exhibit is exciting, especially the live video chat with students my age from India and Pakistan. It’s helping me see how similar we are as kids no matter where we live in the world.
