Share & SaveMore Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesAccess to healthcare clinics is often very limited for those in rural areas, so mobile teams take the services to the people. There is a need for additional mobile testing & counseling teams for the areas surrounding the AIDS vaccine trial sites in Entebbe, Uganda. One team can provide HIV testing and counseling (VCT) to over 50 clients a day. Access to these services helps control the spread of the disease and often results in willing volunteers for AIDS vaccine trials. ActivitiesOutreach teams offer HIV testing and counseling; health talks on HIV/AIDS issues of prevention; care and treatment.
