More Information About this Project

Project Needs and Beneficiaries

The Israeli settlers have left Gaza – Palestinian families are trying to pick-up the pieces. Thirty-thousand moms, dads, children, grandparents were made homeless in Gaza these past four years when their homes were demolished to make way for Israeli settlements and security zones. We want to tell their story through the eyes of the Nasrallah family whom the late American, Rachel Corrie, sought to protect when she was killed by the bulldozer that was threatening to destroy their home.

Activities

A series of short webcast films showing today’s Gaza through the eyes of the Nasrallah family as their home takes shape. Cindy Corrie, Rachel mother, provides voice-over. Here’s the first one, Quicktime format: http://www.xleggs.com/Tamer01.mov

Why this Project is Important

Potential Long Term Impact

A principled, fair, and compassionate American policy towards Palestine and Israel, acknowledging the ongoing trauma of Israel’s Occupation of the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem and requiring follow-through in accordance with the Road Map.

Project Message

I dream of helping communities in conflict zones rebuild neighborhoods to provide safety for families who lost everything, encourage all who build, not destroy, and awaken the world to keep them safe.
