Quality business training is provided to village economic development committees. Villagers are introduced to concepts of small business management. ProLiteracy manuals are used to train village communities with crucial business skills to begin and carry out successful village loan projects.

The profits made by last year's loan project supported the elementary school needs in the village. With support from the Alliance, more than 150 students are able to attend school in the village of Solo.
