In touch via the lifeline of self-powered radio
At the Beijing NGO Hongdandan Center, blind and visually impaired listeners gather round a Freeplay Lifeline self-powered radio that receives In Touch For China via Beijing People’s Radio. In 2006 Freeplay Foundation and BBC World Service Trust will work with Chinese partners to extend radio access to the many rural blind who live geographically, economically and socially excluded, out of sight and mind of mainstream society.
