More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesThe October 8 earthquake killed at least 70,000 people. Millions of Pakistanis and Indians have been left homeless by the immense quake that rocked their countries and destroyed entire villages. Thousands of children were among the casualties, trapped under debris when their schools collapsed. 50% of the homes in the area are said to have been destroyed. ActivitiesContributions to the Earthquake Fund will be allocated to projects being implemented by GlobalGiving partners that are closest to reaching their funding goals. Donors can support long term recovery without having to pick a specific project.
