More Information About this Project

Project Needs and Beneficiaries

Grassroots women’s organizations are rarely able to release staff to undertake substantive training, despite the great need. Yet their ability to be effective in promoting and defending their rights and to manage effective organizations is critical for ensuring a culture of respect for rights. This project will enable such organizations to participate in courses such as human rights, leadership and fundraising, while continuing to work in their organizations.

Activities

Organizations are supplied with specially designed interactive CD-ROMs and are mentored through their training via e-mail. Training includes exercises, assignments and project work. Participants receive certificates from the University of Oxford.

Funding Information

This project has been retired and is no longer accepting donations.
