Empowering 116 Scavengers in Bogotá, Colombia
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesThe project needs $242,830 to cover initial investments and to finance the first 3 months of operative capital. The scavengers organization would own 100% of this project. This pilot will benefit 116 families and demonstrate how scavengers can ascend one link in the recycling supply chain. Activities1. Rent a depot to set up the center within 5 years. 2. Set up the center. 3. Buy and install necessary machines. 4. Train and support more scavengers so that they multiply the pilot in the other areas.
