Mission

Personnel Overview

Befekadu Gebretsadik - Project Management Specialist
Prior to joining USAID/Ethiopia as Project Management Specialist in teacher education and curriculum development in November 2002, Mr. Gebretsadik worked as education advisor to CARE/Ethiopia for one and a half years. Prior to joining CARE, he worked for the Ethiopian Ministry of Education for more than 20 years in the area of teacher development.

Aberra Makonnen - Office Chief, Basic Education Services, USAID
Mr. Makonnen has served in Ethiopian Ministry of Education over thirty years, as a teacher, planner, and researcher and as Secretary General for the Ethiopian UNESCO before joining USAID/Ethiopia. He started working for USAID/Ethiopia eleven years ago. Currently he is Office Chief for Basic Education Services.
