Mission

.To establish an infrastructure of services for infant and preschool children with intellectual disability living in poverty and training their mothers to become our co workers thus linking poverty, disability and women’s empowerment.

Personnel Overview

Dr.Shan Kumari Bhatia - In Charge .Rehabilitation Clinic and Camps
MBBS,M.D.(Pediatrics). She runs a clinic from her residence and is consultant pediatrician at Delhi Commonwealth Women’s Association, run by expatriates. She oversees the Rehabilitation Clinic in both centers, coordinates responsibilities of all the professionals, plans intervention strategies with home intervention workers in case conferences, conducts camps and does in house training.

Karuna Kamble - Supervisor, Community Outreach
She has passed High School and has undertaken the teacher training organized by us in our target area. This is a four-month module in teaching methods for the mentally handicapped, surveys and home intervention techniques. She has completed the Bridge Course of the Rehabilitation Council of India and is registered with this group. She initiated the Satellite Center and has 20 years of experience.
