Recovery and Education for Indonesian Children
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesChildren have been particularly affected by the earthquake that struck Yogyakarta on May 26. They have lost family members, homes, and are still displaced and at risk of disease. Children need assistance to recover from the trauma as well as return to schooling and educational activities. ActivitiesFTPI will assist with recovery for children traumatized by the earthquake and provide school kits including bookbags, books, uniforms, and clothes. Longer term a mobile learning center will be constructed with a library and other learning tools. Funding InformationTotal Funding Received to Date: $4,985 Funding InformationThis project is now in implementation and no longer available for funding. Received funds will be used to accomplish concrete objectives as indicated in the project's "Activities" section. Updates will be posted under the "Progress Report" tab as they become available. Donors' contributions and pledges to this project totaled $4,985. The original project funding goal was $174,506. Recovery and education for Indonesian Children Program is more to adjacent children out of school time, this activity means to fulfill children growth and protection right. Operationally, FTPI jump into post disaster location and involve with earthquake victim children. Some activities between January until March 2007 still focusing on children assistances to express their appreciation, it is very important thing because even the quake destroyed them most over last year ago, basically the children still feeling the trauma, even though not such as nearly after the quake.
