Mission

The mission of the Hesperian Foundation is to publish books and educational materials that help the world’s poor take greater control over their health and their lives. Hesperian believes that health is a fundamental human right, and that information and education are essential to empowering individuals and communities to secure the enjoyment of this right in practice.

Programs

Hesperian develops health and empowerment publications, distributes them, funds translations and local adaptations, and when possible makes small grants for women’s health projects using our books.
