More Information About this Project

Project Needs and Beneficiaries

The school's purpose is to provide education to AIDS orphans and other disadvantaged youth in Nairobi. Violence, famine and illness in the surrounding countries of Somalia, Ethiopia, Uganda and the Sudan have driven many refugees into Kenya where they populate the slums. In addition to providing Christian-based education, the outreach will also afford the student one good meal a day.

Activities

Our volunteers will provide a technical master plan report including phasing construction drawings and fundraising materials for the Good Samaritan School. This is foundational for organizations to see their dreams and visions become realities.

Why this Project is Important

Potential Long Term Impact

The school's desire is that the outreach to the youth and strong education will prepare thousands of children, many orphaned by AIDS, for the difficulties they will face as adults and will bring hope into many families.

Project Message

Without the school the St. Nicholas orphanage will continue to be dependent upon the charity of overseas churches and the slum children will likely get neither education nor exposure to Jesus Christ.
