Mission
HWFs mission is to promote and provide school sanitation, water and better health to the rural poor. The overreaching goal of the HWFs programs in health, education, water and sanitation is to promote gender equality and empower women through the elimination of gender disparity in primary education so that children, especially the girls can grow healthy, get educated and equally contribute to Kenya's developement.
Programs
Water and Sanitation: provides toilets, water tanks and sanitary facilities to schools and protects river springs
Health: HIV/AIDS, OVCs and supports the disabled
Networking and Capacity Building
Provide assistance (transitional shelter and essential non food items) to victims of post election violence

Personnel Overview
William Marwanga - Programs Manager
William, who is managing this project, has over 22 years of experience in project management, supervision, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation covering many countries in Africa including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Zimbabwe in which he effectively managed and supervised donor funded projects including those funded by European Union, Sweden, USAID and Royal Netherlands Embassy-Nairobi
Ms Martha Tureti - Education, Training and Gender Expert
Ms. Martha, in charge of education, training and gender streamlining in this project, has over 12 years experience in development programs, emergency, relief and is well versed in gender and education issues, organizing and conducting trainings and human rights advocacy. She has supervised and consulted for projects under Lutheran World ReliefSudan, Anglican Church-Kenya and Government of Kenya
Ms Alice Omesa - Finance & Administration Manager
Ms. Alice Omesa administers project finances. She has over 12 years experience in project accounting, budgeting, control, monitoring and administration in international non-governement organizations including African Medical and Relief Foundation (AMREF), Maji na Ufanisi (Water and Development) and NETWAS International
