Personnel Overview
Ashok Gadgil - Senior Staff Scientist and Group Leader
LBNL Senior Staff Scientist, conducts technical, economic, and policy research on energy efficiency, and designs and evaluates projects, particularly for applications in developing countries.. Dr. Gadgil is an inventor with several patents and numerous awards and honors. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Energy and Resources at University of California at Berkeley.
Robert Lankenau - Deputy Country Director (Darfur), CHF Sudan
Robert Lankenau is the Darfur Field Director for CHF International. He currently heads CHF's humanitarian relief efforts in Darfur and manages four program sites for essential food security, livelihoods, and shelter interventions. Mr. Lankenau previously worked with ex-combatants in Afghanistan and with UNDP in Egypt. He speaks German, French, English and Arabic.
Ken Chow - Senior Mechanical Engineer
Ken Chow serves as a LBNL project engineer for several Department of Energy projects, and currently leads the Engineers Without Borders team providing engineering support for the Berkeley Darfur Stove project. Mr. Chow received his B.S. in Physics from Yale University and his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the UC-Berkeley.
