More Information About this Project

Project Needs and Beneficiaries

Funding and structural constraints persuade traditional TA providers to serve large numbers of entrepreneurs for a relatively short period of time or for specific issues. With the post-Katrina destruction, stress and time constraints that most entrepreneurs now face, a more flexible model may prove more effective and successful for some businesses. The pilot will assist low-moderate income business owners to stabilize their businesses, add wealth to the local economy and create new jobs.

Activities

Businesses are admitted into the MTA program; business owner works with small business adviser to form action plan; two parties enter into 2 year relationship to achieve business’ target growth goal (increased revenue, hiring.)
