We are comprised of Sudanese and American friends
NESEI has been built by the strength and power of the Sudanese Diaspora. Working with American friends, Sudanese refugees founded NESEI to help ensure a peaceful and productive future for Sudan. Their answer is education: 20 schools by 2015 (with your help).

Girls are the most neglected members of society
At NESEI, we focus on the expansion of girls education as one of our primary program goals. Sudan has a 90% illiteracy rate for women, which is a shocking and troubling statistic. We are dedicated to changing this statistic- our first project will be to send 500 girls to secondary school by this next academic year. Donate today!

The Power of Women
Our planet has an incredible natural resource that has the power to change how we live for the better. This resource is women. Women are often responsible for their families and communities but are rarely given the tools and educational skills to better their circumstances. NESEI schools will train women in the health sciences fields so that they can drastically improve the well-being of their families and communities. Help NESEI help these women.

Without education, there will always be war
The people of southern Sudan have only known war for the last several decades. The infrastructure of their economy and society has been greatly damaged. To ensure a lasting peace, we must start by giving children a fresh start by providing much needed educational and career opportunities.

Brothers and Sisters Working Together
The members of the Sudanese Diaspora are uniting through NESEI to help women and girls go to school. Sudanese brothers and fathers recognize the importance of educating their sisters and daughters at this critical moment in Sudan's history.

Help us educate the next generation in Sudan
The violent civil war in southern Sudan has finally come to an end. Generations of Sudanese have been unable to receive an education because of the long lasting conflict. Help us get Sudan's education system on track to prevent another generation from growing up without the gift of education.
