Karuna Trust
Mission
Our vision is of a world without prejudice, in which every human being has the opportunity to fulfil their potential, regardless of their background or beliefs. We aim to do this by challenging the ignorance and prejudice that trap people in poverty.
Programs
Our main programme is with minority 'ex-untouchable' Scheduled Castes and Tribes in India. We also have programmes with indigenous minorities in the Himalayas and in Bangladesh, and with street children.

Personnel Overview
Manisha Tokale - Inspiration and Secretary
Manisha's early acquaintance with a low-caste family sensitised her to issues of caste discrimination. Her work for the past 20 years has been rallying voices against injustice and exploitation, particularly by high caste communities against 'ex-untouchables' and by men against women. In particular she has worked with commercial sex workers, a very marginalised community.
