Mission

IDEX’s mission is to promote economic empowerment and social change in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. IDEX partners with community-based organizations to support their initiatives by providing grants, fostering regional and international alliances, and engaging U.S.-based constitutencies.

Programs

IDEX builds the institutional capacity of grassroots initiatives in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Our Grantmaking Program provides a minimum of $13,000 per year to each international partner for three years or more. Through Alliance Building, IDEX strengthens partners’ organizational capacity by securing non-financial resources. Our U.S. Public Education Program brings the voices from the grassroots to public forums, donor delegations, conference presentations, and events.
