Share & SaveMore Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesThe Synergo Weaving Bench provides indigenous weavers in Mexico with relief from the pain & physical disability associated with the backstrap loom. Unlike the traditional weaving posture of kneeling on the ground, the Synergo Weaving Bench is ergonomically designed to work in harmony with the weaver. It lets women protect their health, produce more products of better quality and increase their ability to provide for their families, while preserving their culture. ActivitiesWe are producing an educ. DVD & providing tech support to enable local people to make the bench with high quality/low cost in Latin America. In the coming year we would like to expand to Mexico, & provide the bench & education initially to 12 women.
