Mother & Child Health Clinic in Rural Nepal - 2008 Photo Gallery

Tamang Village, Rasuwa District of Nepal

There are 3 Tamang villages served by the clinic and around 7000 people altogether depend on this clinic as their only source of medical care. It costs roughly $2.00 per villager per year to operate the clinic.

Inside the outpatient room, medicines

Villagers are asked to reimburse the clinic for medicine if they can afford to do so. We attempt to keep a revolving medicine fund that way. No one is refused treatment however.

Hard life in the village

This young girl must attend to her baby sister while mom and dad work as subsistence farmers, just barely able to raise enough food to go around.
