Mission

Working with local grassroots charities and NGOs in over 30 countries across the globe, the Global Vision International (GVI) Charitable Trust manages and fundraises for numerous long-term programs. These further the works of GVI and their partners and aim to alleviate poverty, illiteracy, environmental degradation and climate change through: education; nutrition; conservation and capacity building.

Personnel Overview

Andy Woods-Ballard - Director of Operations
Andy is an international environmental and development project director with experience in the leadership and training of staff across Africa and Latin America, working with governmental, non-governmental and voluntary organizations, Universities and international conservation organizations. Andy now runs the GVI-CT in the UK and aids with fundraising and management for projects internationally.

Daniel Ponce-Taylor - GVI Country Director, Mexico
Based in Mexico, Danny has a vast experience gained over many years of working with local coastal communities, his native grasp of the Spanish language and his knowledge of cultural aspects of Central and Latin America make him perfect to lead this work on the ground.

Steve Gwenin - GVI Field Director
Steve has been key in the set up and running of most of GVI’s Expeditions, including 3 in Mexico, and one each in Costa Rica, Ecuador, Patagonia, Kenya, Seychelles and Thailand. Steve has a strong background in working internationally with governmental, non-profit and commercial organisations in marine and terrestrial research and sustainable development initiatives.
