Mission

Mann Vikas seeks to improve the quality of life of women and their families living in the rural areas of western Maharashtra. Our primary objective is to empower rural women and fight injustices based on gender, caste and class. Our programs are designed to improve our clients' quality of life by promoting education, health, property rights, leadership and technology.

Programs

Mann Vikas provides girls education, HIV/AIDS health education, student scholarships, vocational skills training and life insurance information, while also offering commerce and marketing classes.

Personnel Overview

Padma Kuber - Program Director/Coordinator for Business School
Padma has been with Mann Vikas for 2 years. Prior to her work here she was involved with social work and education with NGOs in nearby villages. Later, Padma worked with local self help groups to help them produce higher quality goods. Following that, Padma came to Mann Vikas to use her background to help spearhead efforts to teach women the skills necessary to become financially independent.
