Coal Dust Briquettes for Nature Conservation
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesMusakhail is the most backward district of Balochistan. Majority doesn’t have clean drinking water, electricity, physical infrastructure and education facilities. Women cover long distances on foot to collect fuel wood. They will be provided with environment friendly coal dust technology. This will reduce green house effect, preserve forests & provide better economic conditions. The cost of fuel will be reduced from Rs 68/day to Rs 38 saving Rs. 30/day for these low-income families. Activities-Promotion of environmental friendly coal dust technology -Training of 10 ironsmiths and 10 community members in coal dust stove and briquettes manufacturing -Marketing of coal dust briquettes -Environmental education -Improving forest coverage Funding InformationThis project has been retired and is no longer accepting donations.
