Mission
DEIBCH is an organization run by indigenous people, responsible for rural schools and adult education in indigenous communities in Chimborazo Province. The organization seeks to seek to maintain indigenous culture and language and support community development in areas such as health, agriculture, crafts, weaving, etc.

Mr. Celso Maldonado - Coordinator of Adult Education
Mr. Maldonado coordinates the implementation of programs focusing on literacy, occupational training, artisan certification, as well as initiating pilot programs integrating literacy with practical training in agriculture. He invisions an educational program that will first help people to meet their basic needs and then improve their standard of living.
Ms. Berta Pomaquero - Coordinator of WN/DEIBCH Partnership
Ms. Pomaquero supports the activities of 23 community educators as they work to identify leaders, generate and implement plans for their communities to attain practical goals through literacy education. Ms. Pomaquero also manages operational plans, and monitoring and evaluation, and coordinates partnerships with World Neighbors, and now Plan International and SALMA.
