Mission

URAA is a voluntary, non-profit making NGO with a mission to work for improved quality of life and preservation of the dignity of older people in Uganda.

Programs

URAA is a membership organization that works with different groups to support older people. It implements awareness raising, policy/advocacy and educational programmes to create understanding about ageing issues. URAA currently implements a programme addressing the needs of older people caring for PLWHAs and children who have been orphaned by HIV/AIDS which provides credit, rehabilitates houses of older people and helps create awareness of the impact of HIV/AIDS on older people.

Personnel Overview

Kezia Mukasa - Projects Officer
Kezia has a BA in Business Administration and is responsible for working directly with older people in communities where URAA works. Kezia plans, designs, implements and monitors projects supporting older people through income generation and shelter repair in Jinja and Kamuli and in Kampala district whilst running training in ageing issues.
