Sex education for youth of Guanajuato
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesRecent efforts by conservative members of the State government have tried to limit women's reproductive and sexual rights in Guanajuato. With legal abortion limited only to emergency situations, young people in both rural and urban areas need the education to make informed decisions about their sexual behavior. Without knowledge of safe sex precautions, these youth are at risk of unwanted pregnancy, venereal disease, and damage inflicted by un-safe abortions. Activities80 young leaders who are active in their schools will be trained to lead safe-sex workshops. Topics cover safe-sex measures, including abstinence & responsible decision-making. Leaders at high school and university levels will teach to mixed groups. Funding InformationThis project has been retired and is no longer accepting donations.
