Business Loans for Older Peruvians
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesPoor older people are excluded from credit services on the basis both of their poverty and of their age. Our project is attempting to break down barriers to lending to older people, who are generally viewed as not creditworthy and demonstrates that they are responsible in their management of their credit and businesses. Our project benefits 88 older people and 440 family members through increased income, while empowering these older women and men to be both active and productive. ActivitiesActivities include setting up and running a revolving fund and training in small business management. At the end of the project, older people are able to run own their businesses in a sustainable way.
