More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesNeeds: Democracy requires responsible, participating citizens with knowledge and values that make possible a peaceful environment. Children need to live in a safe environment where they are respected and can acquire values of respect, solidarity, dialogue, and tolerance. Interfamiliar violence needs to be reduced. Adults need help in creating that environment and in teaching children these values. Beneficiaries: Residents (children, youth and adults) of 3 marginal communities in Mexico City. ActivitiesActivities: Consciousness-raising campaign “Safe spaces and good treatment; Training of promoters; Inter-generational dialogues about intrafamiliar violence; Community-organized activities.
