Mission

Non Governmental Organization(NGO) helping people living with AIDS/HIV, assuming responsibility for people living with HIV/AIDS and the orphans and the children vulnerable to AIDS in the medical and psychosocial field. AAS opened the center OASIS in 1998, a premier day center of Burkina Faso for people living with HIV in Ouagadougou.

Programs

-Medical and psychosocial accompaniment of 1020 adults living VIH/SIDA and 500 Orphans and children of the VIH/SIDA through the centre OASIS. -Creation of income-generating activities of returned people living with AIDS (1 Cybercafé K@pot.com and Café Santé : 19 Kiosks with Ouagadougou) -Execution of a program of AIDS prevention in direction of sex professional. -Installation and animatiom of the first Radio Santé FM of Burkina faso in the town of Zorgho-110 km from Ouagadougou.

Ashoka Innovator, Administrator of Aidseti.org, member of "conseil national de lutte contre le SIDa du Burkina Faso » co-founder in 1991 of AAS and continues to pleas for a greater # of African people to have access to anti-retroviral treatment. The action made it possible to increase the number of people profiting from ARV from 12 in 1999 to 118 today.
