WaterPartners' India partner holds 4 years experience providing loans to self-help groups for water & sanitation improvements & have proved that the poor are willing to pay for the improvements. The project will catalyze on that experience & provide operational support for start up costs and support a new program that will declare over 250 villages 100% free from defecation in 2008 ActivitiesEnable low-income families to have access to credit for water & sanitation facilities: Disburse 3,000 loans for water & sanitation products: Expand the area in which our India partner currently works, to provide access to credit to more communities.
