Relief International

Mission

RI provides emergency relief, rehabilitation and development assistance to victims of natural disasters and civil conflicts worldwide. RI’s programs bridge the gap between immediate and long-term community development. This orientation promotes self-reliance and the peaceful reintegration of populations. RI’s programs are designed with the input and participation of target beneficiary groups such as women, children and the elderly, whose special needs are often neglected in disasters.

Programs

RI has implemented development and relief aide programs in Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Iran, Sudan and Tajikistan, and South-East Asia.

Personnel Overview

Elizabeth Ross - Program Director
As RI’s Africa Program Director, Elizabeth oversees activities in conflict-affected environments, such as Darfur, South Sudan and Somalia. She is the primary point of contact at RI’s headquarters for programming and operations. She recently returned from 4 weeks in Darfur and has spent considerable time in South Sudan, where she was visiting and monitoring RI’s activities in the region.
