Share & SaveMore Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesIn order to combat poverty, Africa needs to create long-term solutions to solving issues itself, not be dependent upon foreign aid, not be at the mercy of corrupt government officials, and not be at the constant mercy of natural disasters. The solution is in the local private sector - finding established companies that are managed by socially-responsible local leaders; assessing their business' needs, and filling them with mgmt training, short-term consultants, mentors, int'l networking, et al. ActivitiesGMA works with local groups to select firms that can transform their societies (e.g. tech-oriented, women-run, industrial, media). We recruit top MBAs & senior level mentors; help find funding, conduct trainings, and pinpoint expansion bottlenecks. Latest Update from the FieldGMA helps bring new Business Toolkit to Ghana!By William Guyster - Chairman & CEO, March 31, 2008 09:13 PM
Real results are coming to fruition from the technical seeds our volunteers and MBA consultants planted last year. It was the beginning of 2007 when GMA arrived, brand-new, to Ghana and looked for the businesses it would come to help later in the year. Eventually, GMA helped bring over 100 weeks of consulting to Ghana.
