More Information About this Project
Project Needs and Beneficiaries
There are 300,000 people homeless in Spain where the hostels are overcrowded. We currently work in four main cities: Mardrid, Valencia, Bilbao and San Sebastian. As well as regular football coaching and the chance to be part of a team, we offer the players leisure activities such as the vegetable gardening project, and the psychological support during drug rehabilitation, finding a job, training, and a home. We also have a hostel and a strong social work element to the project.
Activities
Our football training focuses not only on sport abilities, but also social skills, cooperation, working in a group, and life skills, that help a person change behaviour and they can always draw on to find a home, job, and come off drugs/alcohol.

Potential Long Term Impact
We will organise a national street league and national championship to involve more of the 300,000 homeless people in Spain to enjoy the benefits of sport to change their lives and raise awareness of homelessness and the power of sport.
