Project Needs and Beneficiaries

After nearly two weeks of widespread ethnic violence following disputed Presidential elections held December 27th, more than 500 people are reported dead, including many women and children, and approximately 250,000 people are displaced throughout Kenya.

Activities

In response, IMC has opened a temporary TB clinic in Jamhuri Park, where about 5,000 people who have fled to receive humanitarian support. Our team is providing water, sanitation,hygiene, health care, disease management, nutrition and mental health

Potential Long Term Impact

IMC has been registered in Kenya as an NGO since 1993. Initially established as a regional support office for East and Central Africa, since 1998 IMC has engaged in relief and development activities in Kenya including Primary Health Care.
