More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesThe NE corner of Nicaragua was devastated by Hurricane Felix in Sept 2007. The category 5 hurricane made landfall at the town of Puerto Cabezas & destroyed nearly 90% of the civil infrastructure. Many of the surrounding communities were completely destroyed. The region is now desperate for energy. blueEnergy will execute a feasibility study for establishing a production center at the National Technical Institute in Puerto Cabezas & beginning servicing the region devastated by the hurricane. Activities1)Visit & survey Technical Institute facility, 2)Identify workforce for production facility, 3)Design production facility, 4)Survey local communities & identify potential early adopters, 5)Develop implementation plan.
