Mission

Friends of the World Food Program is dedicated to building support for the World Food Program (WFP) and other hunger relief efforts. Our mission is to: •Increase awareness about global hunger issues •Mobilize support for hunger relief programs and activities •Generate resources for WFP operations and other activities that alleviate hunger

Programs

School Feeding: School feeding involves providing meals in schools. Serving food at school not only fights hunger among the world’s poorest children, it also encourages them to go to school, providing them with an important key to a better future – an education. Food for Work/Food For Training: These programs provide food as compensation for those in work or training programs. In addition to fighting short-term hunger, such programs improve local infrastructures and promote self-reliance.
