Project Needs and Beneficiaries
Many grassroots and community-based nonprofit founders in Africa have great visions and good intensions. Unfortunately, these founders and their staff and volunteers often lack the technical skills they need to implement those visions with efficiency and effectiveness to engender maximum service to societys poorest. Through this project, OPDI will provide such skills to said nonprofits and also ensure they work transparently and accountably to both their beneficiaries and donors
Activities
Customized technical skills training will be given to each person in the following areas: program planning, budgeting, accounting principles, bookkeeping, management skills, good work ethics, grant seeking, fundraising, and customer service
Funding Information
This project has been retired and is no longer accepting donations.
Additional Documentation
This project has provided additional documentation in a Microsoft Word file (projdoc.doc).

Why this Project is Important
Potential Long Term Impact
This training project will ensure that recipients become more efficient and effective in rendering essential services to Africas underprivileged. It will also help them to become more transparent and accountable.
Project Message
Although the entire training package was good, I found the Budgeting and Bookkeeping courses particularly useful. Also I really appreciate the learning materials and certificates given to us.
