Share & SaveMore Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesIn Nairobi (Kenya), Mathare Valley is the oldest and worst slum in Africa. In these areas, the rights of people with disabilities are not respected. Daily, they face discrimination and lack of access to services and facilities. Many children with disabilities are treated as outcast, kept hidden in the houses. The project aims to use sport as a tool to improve the quality of people with disabilities. ActivitiesWeekly Recreation Days will be organized where a number of adapted sports will be proposed to the children with disabilities. Besides, monthly information meetings will be held within the communities to raise awareness on disability issues.
